Qualifications & Experience
Education
- BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
Required
- Hands-on experience with LC-MS analysis of small molecules and/or lipids in a research, clinical, pharmaceutical, or analytical laboratory environment.
- Hands-on Experience with biological sample preparation and handling for LC-MS workflows.
- Experience acquiring and reviewing chromatographic and mass spectrometric data.
- Ability to operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-throughput laboratory environment while maintaining attention to quality and detail.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Strong focus on data quality, reproducibility, documentation, and compliance with SOPs.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency with standard computer software and laboratory data systems.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent time-management skills and a high level of accuracy and reliability.
- EU citizenship (unfortunately we can’t accept work visas or any similar documents)
Desirable
- Experience with the challenges and problem solving of LC-MS-based metabolomics and/or lipidomics workflows.
- Experience with high-throughput (1000s of samples) blood plasma metabolomics or lipidomics.
- Experience operating Waters LC-MS systems, particularly QTOF platforms.
- Familiarity with metabolomics and mass spectrometry software such as XCMS, MZmine, MS-DIAL, or similar tools.
- Experience working with large-scale LC-MS datasets and quality control workflows.
